Christmas fried milk
Preparation
In addition to enjoying "el turron de Jijona / Xixona" in its traditional format we can also make some delicious desserts. A traditional Christmas dessert that will succeed in your menus for Christmas time. One of the Most Delish Christmas dessert.
In a saucepan heat half of the milk along with the cinnamon stick and all the sugar. In another bowl whisk 2 eggs with the cornstarch and the rest of the milk until obtaining a homogeneous mixture.
When the milk begins to boil, strain and pour into a bowl with the remaining milk stirring constantly.
With a mortar crush the nougat to break into small pieces and add the mixture into the bowl. Beat well until obtaining a creamy mixture.
Pour this creamy mixture into a mould, leave to cool in the fridge for at least 3 hours until its gains enough consistency. Get the mould out of the fridge and with a knife previously soaked in oil cut the pieces into the shape you prefer.
Fill a plate with flour and whisk the remaining egg in another bowl. Soak the pieces in the egg coat with flour and put them to fry in a pan with a little oil.
Place in paper towels to absorb the oil. Serve and enjoy it!
